3. Websites and Open Documents

Once websites and open documents are successfully imported into the cybaLOUNGE platform, they become persistant objects.

Refer to the tutorial on HOW TO: Integrate Websites for detailed instructions.

3.1 Integration of Websites and Modifications

Integrating websites into the cybaLOUNGE platform is a straightforward process, provided you have the necessary permissions. The integration occurs via drag-and-drop – click on the small symbol in your browser's headline and drag it directly into the cybaLOUNGE window. The website appears in your current location, and you can interact with it directly in the “HTML-Viewer” window, similar to using a standard browser window.

To modify the position, size, etc., of the displayed website, click on the building tool or “Location Editor” in the bottom menu bar. Object placement involves three steps: rotation, position, and scale. Use trial-and-error for this process. Negative numbers are also accepted; simply add a ”-” in front of the number.

  1. Rotation: In the “Location Editor” menu, choose “Attributes” → “Rotation” → “Rotate Y” for horizontal rotation, using degrees.
  2. Position: In the “Location Editor” menu, choose “Attributes” → “Position” → “PosX/Y/Z” for coordinates.
  3. Scale: In the “Location Editor” menu, choose “Attributes” → “Scale” → “ScaleX/Y/Z” to scale the object.

Click on the building tool or “Location Editor” again in the bottom menu bar to save your changes.

3.2 Integration of Open Documents

To integrate an open document, you need an account with an organization like Google Docs that provides online-hosted documents.

You can integrate open documents similarly to websites by drag-and-drop. However, if you want others to collaborate on them, you must first release the documents, a process carried out within the respective documents themselves. Once released, drag-and-drop the document into the location as described in section 3.1.

3.3. Deletion of Websites and Open Documents

To delete websites and open documents, refer to Chapter 7 “Share and Delete Files”.
